Performing at Anfield, the home of Liverpool Football Club

I have been lucky enough to perform at Anfield, the home of Liverpool Football Club this 2023/24 season entertaining the fans before each game. It has been amazing to be part of something really special, and I feel privileged to do so.

I tend to play a mixture of modern and classic popular tunes, finished off with some well known Liverpool songs and chants for the die hard supporters.

I have been performing at the Kop concourse, which is located just behind the historic Kop stand within the stadium. Whilst fans are awaiting the kick off, I am able to provide a catalogue of singalong songs, usually matched with a pie and a pint. Then I get the adrenaline pumping for the fans before they step out into the stand and take their seats. Now, filled with hope to beat the away team, enhanced with a couple of Liverpool chants beforehand.

I’ve also been lucky enough to play as an acoustic musician at Anfield for 5 matches this season. As well as playing in the Kop concourse, I have also played at The Beat Lounge. The lounges are are a hospitality package you can purchase to enhance your experience before watching LFC. There are many lounges and different experiences on and off match days within the stadium. Such as The 1892 lounge, The Boot Room Restaurant, Sevens Lounge, Eights Lounge, The Carlsberg Dugout, The Chemistry Lounge, The Beautiful Game and the Reds Bar. I even got to meet ex Liverpool defender/match day pundit/all round nice guy Mark Lawrenson. Hopefully I will get to perform at many more games and have plenty more Liverpool legends to say hi to.

Yesterday I was performing before the Merseyside derby, Liverpool vs Everton. Which saw Liverpool take the lead in the second half after a questionable handball from Evertons Michael Keen. VAR, made the decision to give the penalty which was easily put away by Mo Salah. Then, the 9 added minutes for injury time assisted in Mo Salah scoring a second for the boys in red.

A great day all in all, and I’m looking forward to next weekends match against Nottingham Forest. Once again I’ll be at the Kop concourse smashing out a few tunes. See you at the game!
